2004 Mardi Gras PicturesEunice Street Dance and Jam Session
|
After a successful
Friday night dance in 2003, Danny Collet and Louisiana Tremor
returned to the Eunice
Mardi Gras Friday night street dance.
Playing both guitar and accordion, Collet performs traditional Cajun music, swamp pop, rock classics, and whatever else sound good to him. His original composition "It Wasn't Supposed to Happen" has become a hit in Southwest Louisiana. The band performed at the Walnut Street stage in front of Dee's Cajun Gifts and Acadiana Sounds Studios. Meanwhile, further up the street, Ardoin's Dance Hall was once again the place for Cajun jammers to gather and for anyone to stop by to enjoy the music and dance. By next Mardi Gras, a new dance hall will be opening next to Nick's on Second, the restaurant that operates Ardoin's. |
